Well, perhaps we didn't quite break the Guinness World Record for buffet size: Maple Grove needed 602 different items to make it to the record books. Still, the 379 items that did make it to the buffet made for one ginormous community party. October 12th can go down in history as the date of the Biggest Potluck Buffet in Ohio.
And it was also a day in which we learned lots and lots about our community's cooking habits.
There were 19 items that included the term "brownie" in the name
There were 9 items that included the terms "deviled eggs" in the name
We counted 11 dishes with titles that involved "macaroni and cheese"
And 6 with the words "green been casserole"
While a whopping 54 used the term "salad"
There were 0 instances of dishes named with both terms "salad" and "casserole"
And the Potluck had 4 versions of "hummus".
